Near the end of auction on ebay, the work shown above by graf artist Banksy, done last September in West London on the wall of a post-production company on Portobello Road, was at 207,099 pounds (nearly 413,413 dollars). How the winning bidder plans to hoist this piece home to hang is an even better question?
The auction on ebay says as much about the shift in today's art world as it does about the public's thirst for celebrity. After the release of the article from the Sunday Mail last week, it remains to be seen how the future work of today's Scarlet Pimpernel will be affected.
Press on Banksy. Press on.
