Audrey Kawasaki

For the readers of Juxtopoz or Hi-Fructose, you're probably already familiar with 'it' gal Audrey Kawasaki. Her work contains sensual images that are organic and illustrative all at once. The main body of her work is done on wood panels, taking advantage to highlight the natural beauty of the wood grain itself and painted with oils to create a dreamy setting.

For me personally, her paintings are among my favorite contemporary pieces circulating the art scene. Her solo shows are selling out and are making this young, talented artist a very successful lady indeed. Consider yourself one of the lucky ones if you actually own an original piece. For the moment, the prices are a little out of my target range, but we can still daydream can't we?
